He currently has the incredible privilege of writing for The Oregon Files, the iconic series brought to life by the legendary Clive Cussler. Providentially, the first endorsement Mike received for his first novel, Drone, came from the hand of Clive Cussler himself. Mike intends to repay Cussler’s kindness by honoring his memory and legacy as he creates more amazing adventures for the Oregon and her valiant crew.

Growing up is hard. Growing fangs is harder. As an overachiever with a nearly photographic memory, June Robinson thought she could figure out anything. But there are a few mysteries June can’t solve… like why she transformed into a werecat on her fifteenth birthday, instead of an owl like her mom. About the Author: CL Monroe developed a love for story when he read Jurassic Park at the beginning of fourth grade. However, shortly afterwards, he was groomed for life as an attorney. So it was that he put a burgeoning passion for story aside to devote himself to the serious task of preparing for, and eventually being, a lawyer. In the process he spent tens of thousands of hours writing tens of millions of words, nearly all of them dry and dull, and if they were especially effective, lulling people to sleep.

Then, when he was firmly established as a master of the written word in its dreariest form, he was given The Lord of the Rings by a friend. And there, at Bilbo’s eleventy-first birthday party, the old fire, first discovered on Isla Nublar, sparked back to life. Now he writes things that are–hopefully–not useful for curing insomnia.

Complete Citizens: The Morton Legacy

Complete Citizens: The Morton Legacy is Lauralie’s first book, and chronicles six generations of a Morton family branch that took root in East Tennessee in the 19th century. With her regionally common Scots Irish history as the foundation, this story of her Morton ancestors begins with a Philadelphia wedding in July of 1731 and culminates with the death of great-grandfather Benjamin Andrew Morton in July of 1952. “Daddy Ben” was among the early proponents of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, and an overlook near Newfound Gap was named in his honor.

Her book gives brief sketches of four earlier generations, but two-thirds provides biographical insight on Ben Morton’s life as well as that of his father, Dr. Ben Morton of Blount County. Dr. Morton was a general practitioner in Maryville who rendered care to local families in Blount, Loudon, Monroe and Sevier Counties. Both he and his son were fascinating individuals, and she has done her best to honor their contributions to East Tennessee.

About the Author: Lauralie returned to her native East Tennessee following years of living around the nation and working in the insurance business. After discovering a box of old family documents, she began researching her family’s stories and shares them in her first book.

Appalachia: Ballads, Bloodlines, and the Long Journey Home

Musician, storyteller, and Appalachian native Richie Owens delivers a powerful tribute to heritage in Appalachia: Ballads, Bloodlines, and the Long Journey Home. Part memoir, part folklore, and part historical record, this deeply personal book traces Owens’ family roots from the hills of Wales to the hollers of East Tennessee.

Told in the voices of preachers, midwives, moonshiners, and musicians, the book reads like a front porch conversation with the past—woven through red clay graveyards, revival tents, logging camps, and forgotten fiddle tunes.
